The Bentani Hotel in Cirebon Java is the obvious hotel choice for businessmen and travelers to this sun baked city. This is a modern hotel with comfortable air-conditioned rooms, and enough style to keep the casual traveler happy. The train station is 5 minutes away.
The hotel offers a variety of rooms set around a courtyard containing a fair sized swimming pool. We liked the free Wifi in the public areas. There is also a good spa for guests.
The coffee house served fair Indonesian food. There is a Japanese restaurant, which attracts the small number of Japanese expats working in Cirebon.
At night, the hotel lounge is a good place to shoot some pool and down a few beers.
Again, it seems to be the preferred hangout for the small number of expats here.
The bands are imports from Bandung and Jakarta, and they did rock when we were there.
